We are delighted to announce that Meghan Downs and Michele Brown are the latest fully fledged members of BNI Nexus.

Both Meghan and Michele have been with us for several months now and have impressed us all with their knowledge, commitment, and enthusiasm to contribute as members of our fantastic business network.

During this time, they have been mentored by existing BNI members to integrate them smoothly into the group and give them the tools required to thrive in the Nexus family.

Recently completing their respective mentor training programmes, both Michele and Meghan are now qualified to deliver a full-length 10-minute introduction to the entire group, and we look forward to hearing what they have to say.

Meet the Members

Meghan Downs – Meghan Downs Copywriting

Meghan Downs has been with BNI Nexus for 8 months now, but is still a relative newcomer compared to some of the golden oldies in our ranks. Meghan is an experienced voice brand copywriter who helps businesses to stand out from the crowd with high level online content and messaging consultancy. In 2020, Meghan began her own copywriting company and joined BNI Nexus after moving to Ayrshire in January 2023. 

She has already made a fantastic impact on the group and we can’t wait to see and hear more of her in the months and years to come.

Michele Brown – Interiors Forty-Five 

Michele Brown, founder of interior design firm Interiors Forty-Five, has over 22 years of business experience and joined BNI Nexus back in May 2023. 

Michele has turned her passion for interior design into a highly successful brand, helping customers across the Glasgow area to create stunning spaces that will turn any house into a home. 

At BNI we are always looking to add skills to the group that our existing members don’t already provide. With exceptional taste and an eye for style, Michele certainly does that!

Our New Member Process

The outstanding success of BNI Nexus is built on the quality of our members and their ability to request and provide referrals in the most efficient way. Throwing new members in at the deep end with no integration would be completely unfair to them, limit what they were able to get out of the group, and reduce the value of their contributions.

We want to get them involved as quickly as possible, but have something very special to protect at the same time and a careful balance needs to be struck. This is where our multi-stage new member integration process comes in.

Before a new addition is able to deliver an introductory 4 minute presentation to the group, they must first successful complete our Member Success Programme (MSP).

They will be supported in this by their mentor, another Nexus member, who will ensure that they are fully equipped to understand the commitment they are making by joining and give them the tools they need to help others in the group.

Once signed off by their mentor they become a fully fledged BNI Nexus member (No going back now!) and have the chance to give a full-length 10 minute introductory presentation to the entire group.
