We are delighted to announce that 6-year BNI Nexus member Jay Duncan has launched TCF Environmental, a re-brand of his highly successful drain cleaning, inspection, and repair company The Choke Folk.

Teaming up with fellow BNI Nexus member Soapbox Digital, The Choke Folk brand has been completely revolutionised with a new name, new logo, and a stunning new website that better reflects their position as one of Scotland’s premier domestic, commercial, and industrial drainage companies. 

The Choke Folk brand has served Jay well over the years, but as more and more of their business becomes commercial rather than domestic, a fresh look was required to help acquire the major commercial contracts that will take them to the next level.

Soapbox Design and Digital specialise in helping businesses achieve their business goals through high-quality design, content creation, and digital marketing and have already worked with a number of other BNI Nexus members, with fantastic results.

They were the natural partner for the TCF Environmental project and if you take a look through their new site, we’re sure you’d agree it’s going pretty well so far.

This collaboration is the latest in a long long line of dealings between BNI Nexus members and shows the benefits of a business network where the supplier of anything your company could possibly need is only ever a phone call away.

Why TCF Environmental?

Back in 2009, Jay started The Choke Folk with his dad Jimmy, with the goal of disrupting a drainage industry dominated by a select few national franchises. 

Their customer focussed approach, combined with years of experience and a highly efficient service proved a hit and the Choke Folk quickly grew to become one of Scotland’s most successful independent drainage companies.

The Choke Folk was initially targeted towards domestic customers in the Southside of Glasgow, but word of the efficiency and value of service they provided soon spread further afield. A few years down the line and demand for The Choke Folk had never been higher. 

Fast forward to 2023 and The Choke Folk have invested heavily in the highest quality equipment and latest technologies, as well as expanding their highly trained team to meet demand for their services. 

With the tools and expertise to tackle almost any drainage problem, The Choke Folk is now in a position to take on more major commercial contracts that will take the business to the next level. 

A rebrand is a fantastic tool for a company looking to make an impression in a new market but must be done with the upmost skill and care to avoid an identity crisis.

The Choke Folk is an established name in the Glasgow drainage industry and have many clients who have been using their services several decades. Retaining their loyalty whilst acquiring new larger commercial contracts was the number one priority for Jay and his team.
