BNI Nexus thrives on the high calibre of its members, and the quality of our female entrepreneurs has been a major driving force behind our success in recent years.

On International Women’s Day 2024, it is only right that we take the opportunity to highlight the success of the incredible female members we have in our chapter, each of whom is right at the top of their respective fields and are constantly striving for more.

The number of women at BNI Nexus has grown significantly in recent times, but things haven’t always been this way. Like the majority of business networking groups, BNI Nexus has historically been pretty male dominated, but the time has come to put things right and we have already taken great strides towards doing just that.

Being able to attract the very best fresh talent, no matter the gender, is one of the biggest reasons we have grown so much faster than other groups over the past few years and we have only just started.

On International Women’s Day 2024, we would like to take the opportunity to highlight exactly why just some of our fantastic female members are so successful in their businesses so far, and give you a sneak peak into their exciting plans for the future as members of BNI Nexus.

Getting to Know the Women of BNI Nexus.

Rebecca McEwan – Active Health Clinic

Running one of the most successful healthcare clinics in Glasgow, Rebecca and her team specialise in pain relief and rehabilitation, offering services such as physiotherapy, massage therapy, sports recovery and a number of other key wellness services.

Constantly looking for ways to empower her clients to take control of their health, Rebecca has recently introduced Vitamin B12 and hay fever injections to her impressive list of services, something that has gone down a storm with her clients.

 

Michelle Brown – Interiors Forty-Five

If Interior design services are what you are after, Michelle is the person you need to be talking to. Highly experienced in both residential and commercial design, Michelle has completed countless stunning renovations of properties in Glasgow and beyond and is only just getting started.

Michell is currently managing a major hotel refit down in Largs, a project that is giving her the chance to flex her impressive designer muscles and looks set to take Interiors Forty-Five to the next level.

 

Meghan Downs – Meghan Downs Copywriting

An experienced copywriting guru, Meghan’s way with words helps business owners find their brand voice, engage their target market, and generally revolutionise their online presence.

She specialises in working with training companies and business coaches who are looking to create more engaging content and reach a larger audience online.

 

Grace Clark – Blue Rabbit Recruitment

With a background working at one of the UK’s largest corporate recruitment companies, and a knack for finding the perfect candidate for even the most specialist of roles, Grace was always going to thrive when she decided to venture out solo.

This is exactly what happened when she founded Blue Rabbit Recruitment back in 2018 who offer a highly personalised recruitment service to both employers and applicants. It is said that there isn’t a position that Grace can’t find or fill and from what we’ve seen so far, its difficult to argue!

 

Angela Andrews – Arrow Corporate Promotions

From company clothing to a promotional mug, if you need something branded, Angela Andrews and the team at Arrow Corporate Promotions have you covered. Angela is one of BNI’s longest serving members, having been with the chapter for over 14 years, and many a fellow BNI member has used her branding services to boost their own business in this time.

Angela has worked with some of the biggest charities and businesses in Scotland over the years and continues to be the nation’s go-to choice for quality branded products.

 

Saira Lee – Utilities Consultancy

One of our busiest members in recent times, for obvious reasons, Saira’s free to use utilities consultancy services have saved businesses and homeowners many many thousands of pounds on their energy bills over the years.

In the past week alone, Saira has helped over half a dozen clients to find better deals on their energy bills and is still only just getting started.

 

Lauren young – Wishing Wellness

Lauren has well over a decade of experienced providing counselling and psychotherapy services to charities, schools, councils, universities, and individuals. She now runs her own incredibly popular practice but still spends two days a week providing counselling in a local secondary school.

Lauren has clients from all walks of life, but is particularly well-known for her work with doctors, dentists, and other health-care roles with some of the highest rates of stress and mental illness.
